I bought a house just a few months ago, after waiting for years, and had to leave (emergency situation.) I didn't have time to try and sell, and can't really do it now, so foreclosure looks like my only option. To make things worse, I think I'll have to pay back the first time homebuyers money to the IRS, so my credit is seriusly "shot" for years. They probably didn’t buy a home they couldn’t afford; a lot of things have happened recently. I bought a house just a few months ago, after waiting for years, and had to leave (emergency situation.) Only that they're tired of paying the mortgage on a house whose value has decreased 200k+. The banks got bailouts on their bad investments? Why should ordinary people feel bad about walking away from something like this? I don't think I'd do it, but I can certainly see the temptation. Stop and think before running your mouth.
